Rust

Rust is a form of corrosion that occurs on iron or steel surfaces when they come into contact with oxygen and water. It’s a common problem in water systems, particularly in older pipes or those exposed to corrosive environments. Rust can degrade the integrity of pipes, leading to leaks, discoloration of water, and potential contamination.

Scale

Scale refers to the buildup of mineral deposits, typically calcium carbonate or magnesium carbonate, on the interior surfaces of pipes and plumbing fixtures. Scale formation is common in areas with hard water, where dissolved minerals precipitate out of solution and accumulate over time. Scale buildup can restrict water flow, reduce the efficiency of water heaters and appliances, and lead to increased energy costs.

Shield

RS Shield™ is a corrosion inhibitor utilizing highly technological methods such as electrochemical galvanic and electrostatic effects. This technology improves water quality and extends pipe lifespan by generating zinc oxide (Zn++), which lasts for 20 years without requiring an additional power supply, thereby preventing oxidation, scale buildup, and water leakage.
